Important Masterclass Onboarding Information
Congratulations , you are now officially a member of Write That Book Masterclass Summer ‘22.
It’s going to be three months you will always remember.
This is a very important email. Please take some time to read it carefully and complete each part.
It feels like a lot. But just take it one step at a time.
Our experience has shown that if you act now and get this all done you will avoid challenges down the line.
You’ll also avoid ‘Michael’s Reminder Emails’ - nobody wants to receive a ‘Michael Reminder’ :).
The important dates are at the bottom of this email. We hope they won’t need to change, but if they need to, we will give you plenty of warning.

LIVE Write That Book Masterclass Zoom Meetings
These events take place on Zoom and will last for approximately 90 minutes.
They will include a training session by me and an opportunity for you to catch up with your Accountability Group.
Zoom Room FOR TRAINING EVENTS
We use the same Zoom Room for all Group Zoom Meetings.

Communication and The Community
We think it’s very important to be clear and avoid any misunderstandings before we start with the programme.
We have lots of lovely members of Write That Book Masterclass. This is a group training programme, which means Nia and I will be unable to respond to Direct Messages or emails unless it is a private or technical matter which cannot be dealt with in the group.

The best way to get my attention is to tag @MichaelHeppellPro in a post on the Facebook group or to ask a question in the Live Trainings.
Showing Up and Accountability Groups
You will see one of the questions in the onboarding Q & A is whether you would
like to be part of an Accountability Group.
So far, every Masterclass author who has published and sold their book has been active in their Accountability Group.
This is not a coincidence.
You don’t have to be in an Accountability Group, but if you do choose to be a member it's important that you commit to showing up and supporting your fellow group members.
You can meet and communicate in various ways (WhatsApp, small Zoom meetings).
But we discourage setting up additional Facebook Groups as this can be a distraction.
Plus, you will get more response by posting in the main group and #ing your group than setting up smaller groups.
Privacy, Feedback and Commercial Activity
This will become a very close group. We ask you to respect members’ privacy and the ideas they share.
Feedback should always be given in a positive and constructive way. We're not here to tell each other that everything is fabulous, but at the same time we're not here to dash people’s dreams.
We don't allow commercial activity in the Masterclass - unless of course you have a new book to sell!
I'm sure everyone would rather focus on writing a book than giving polite responses to someone trying to sell you a product or service.
Let's be cool.

Your ONE Email Address
It's vitally important that you use the same email address for each part of the Masterclass.
It’s how we assign groups, send important information and stay in touch.
The email we have for you is the one this email was sent to.
If this NOT the email address you wish to use, please let us know immediately by replying to this email with the correct details.
Please ensure you have my emails marked as a ‘safe sender’.
If you’re not sure what that means, ask The Google.
We also have a backup plan…
SMS
For this Masterclass, we are using SMS (text messaging) as an additional communication tool.
You may have had a few reminders this week.
In the Q & A you will be asked if you would like to receive SMS (Text) messages.
They will only be sent for announcements and essential information and you must ‘opt in’ to receive them.
If you are outside of the UK we are unable to send SMS messages unless you have a UK number. We're looking for a workaround.

Finally, please take a few minutes to complete the Masterclass Onboarding Q&A; this will open as a separate document.
We need this document completed by Thursday April 21st (even if you are repeater) at the very latest. So go on… Do It Now.
