Hi
It’s Eleanor
Ever said yes to something that you weren’t entirely sure what you were agreeing to, thinking you’d figure it out when you got to it?
Well, that was for me for this week!
Throw in a dose of covid in the week where I was supposed to be figuring it out and I bring you this TEAM17 newsletter!
Fortunately, my former teaching days have me well practised in winging it (shh, don’t tell Michael). I mean what’s the worst that can happen,
right?
Even in times of illness and additional load, stress as some may call it, we have an inner strength to call on to get things done.
What do I want you to do this week?
Show up like you do, sharing all that you’re getting up to and if you see me pop up in a post, come by and say hi! Let’s show Michael how brilliant we are with or without him, and don’t let me
fail on the first week in!
On the topic of letting things fail, it brings me to the idea of Schadenfreude vs Freudenfreude.
Have you heard of Freudenfreude before?
It was actually Vic Wilson-Crane who introduced me to the word a couple of weeks ago. I’ve talked about the concept various times, referring to cheerleading for each other but I didn’t have a
word to describe it. Now I do.
Both TEAM17 and Write That Book are perfect examples of Freudenfreuders being attracted to each other, we revel in each others’
success.
Whether a Schadenfreude or a Freudenfreude find out more on Wednesday’s live in the at 18:17.
I’m going to post a blog about this in the Facebook group too.
