Writing is a lonely business .
Most successful authors (and the unsuccessful ones) plug away, on their own, for hours.
Battling with ideas and words, hoping to create something good enough to release to the world.
Even the most popular ones only enjoy fleeting moments of public fame and true collaboration before they go back to their solitary existence.
And when you’re starting that’s challenging.
That’s why I love my online communities. How to Be Brilliant and TEAM17 are the ultimate places where not only can you
find support, but you can have the satisfaction of helping others too.
There’s nothing wrong with asking for help.
Independence is cool but interdependence is cooler.
I love collaborating, helping and supporting others and I’m sure you do too.
Let me know what you need help with.
If you write a post on How to Be Brilliant you’ll be amazed at the number of people who will want to help.
Did you see the video of John Kingdon receiving the proof copy of his book? A great example of interdependence. John helped others, others helped John.
You can watch it here. Hankies ready…
