Thank you for registering as an affiliate to promote the Write That Business Book mini-course.
You’ll probably have a whole bunch of questions, so I’ve prepared this Q&A to help you to register some lovely people for the course and earn commissions.
What is an affiliate?
An affiliate is a person trusted to promote a product or service.
What can I and can’t I say?
You mustn’t say you work for Michael Heppell Ltd or Write That Book. You can say that you are a student, friend or that Michael is your coach/mentor. You can see some examples of what to say in the ‘swipe copy’. More on that in a tick.
How do you know the booking came from me?
It’s all down to those very clever cookies.
You must use two very specific links when asking your contacts to register for the webinar and book a place.
Your link(s) if clicked will leave a tiny bit of code (a cookie) in your contacts browser. If they book a place later our clever system knows, matches you with the sale and bingo you make the commission.
How do I get paid?
We pay 60 days after the sign up provided participants have paid their fees and haven’t requested refunds. The commissions include VAT so if you are not VAT registered you won’t receive the VAT part. That’s not my rule it’s the government's, so take it up with [xxxx] *insert current chancellor.
You will receive £100 for everyone who pays in full and £97 for everyone who pays over 6 months.
What if there is a dispute?
There can be occasions where you promote the programme and then someone joins with another affiliate’s link. Our system uses a first and last cookie system so we can see who did the work.
If they are a new person joining, we can usually identify who did the work and pay the commission accordingly. In extreme circumstances, we offer 50/50.
If someone joins who is already on our database, they are known as a ‘current customer’ and we don’t pay a commission.

What you do need to know is, we are the fairest partner you’ll ever work with. Our mantra is ‘If in doubt, we still pay out’.
Do you have resources I can use?
YES. If you go to your partner account and then to
'Promo Materials', you’ll see some graphics and suggested copy. Feel free to tweak and change.
When and what should I promote and ask?
We have three phases.
Phase 1 today – July 18th 7pm
Promote the Words Change Words webinar which takes place on Monday evening. The more people you can get on to this webinar the more commissions you will make.
Even if they decide not to join the course, I’m going to give loads of value and ensure everyone has a cracking time.
You can do that from now right up to the start of the webinar at 7pm.

Phase 2 July 18th 8pm – July 29th

This is time people can book. Use the 1st link and let your contacts know what’s happing and the amazing bonuses that are available. There will be an opportunity to send and promote an update with a recording of the webinar 24 hours after the main event.
