What's your reputation? Your reputation is the public's opinion or evaluation of you. The public could be your friends, family, customers, work colleagues, anyone who knows a little (or a lot) about you.
Once a person has a reputation 'the public' expect you to live up to that reputation. Right now you already have a reputation, the question is... is it a good one?
What are you known for? Fussing? Always late? Caring? Being tight? Being generous? Creative!
If you're not sure what your reputation is, then ask. And if you really want to know, ask for your good bits and bad bits as just asking about your reputation will normally elicit positive responses.
My challenge to you this January is not to set New Year's Resolutions but instead to focus on creating a New Year Reputation. Once you've decided on the reputation you'd like ask yourself what values, habits and behaviours you will need to demonstrate to gain that reputation. Then go for it and do all you can for the next 90 days to make it so.
