You've arrived at the party, you don't know anyone but you are determined to meet some interesting people and have a good time. If you could only ask the people you meet one question what would it be? Questions allow you to find out the best in people, they make life easier and open the door to knowledge. It's obvious that the quality of your questions will determine the quality of the information you receive. So if you could only ask one question what would it be. For instance, at the party you meet someone who is a brilliant success in the same area of work where you would like to be. Which question would you ask? 'How did you get started?' Or 'What do you do daily that makes you so successful?' Both are good, but one is better. And what about the internal questions you ask yourself? Are you asking yourself empowering questions that make you better? Or are you asking questions which create doubt and uncertainty? I asked my followers on Twitter (@michaelheppell) and Facebook friends (facebook.com/michaelheppellofficial) what they would ask if they only had one question. Here's what they said: What makes you happy? Which single event in your life has changed you the most? How can I help you? What do you truly excel at that I could possibly benefit from learning? What are you most proud of? What is your aim in life? Are you happy? What are your dreams? What one thing would you change to have a perfect life? Is where you are today, where you ever imagined you would be? If you could have today all over again, what three things would you do to make it better? Are you fulfilling your dreams? If you had all the money and free time you needed, how would you spend your life? How long are we allowed to live this life.. and how do we absolutely make the most of it? What's your name? What excites you? How can we work together to make something better? If God exists and gave us this gift of life, how do we thank her? Would you like to answer a few questions for us? We've set up a very brief online survey and we'd like to invite you to take part. It only takes a couple of minutes and your help would really be appreciated. To take part, please click here |
