When enough is enough

Published: Thu, 10/20/11

I recently read about a successful Hollywood writer. He was constantly asked to read scripts for friends, friends of friends and many who didn't even know him. Knowing it was impossible to read every one of them, he had to take action.

He started to say 'I'll read your script if you wash my car'.

The result? He received 95% less scripts.

He decided that enough was enough.

Last week I unsubscribed from a newsletter after the sender used the death of Steve Jobs to sell a product. I decided, enough was enough.

Big or small, we all have moments when we decide enough is enough. Maybe it's when greed becomes a bigger motivator than doing the right thing?

Perhaps it's when we decide it's time we've received enough and it's time to put something back into society? Or even when you need to change careers, partners or friends? Enough is enough.

When you (the most important person in the world) have had enough, what are you doing? Anything? Something? Nothing?

When you feel enough is enough it's your brilliant mind saying it's time for change.
