Wisdom wasted on a 17 year old

...until now

I remember when I was an apprentice slater & tiler working for my Dad.  It was December 21st 1984 and my Dad decided we were going to start a new job. 'Can't it wait 'til January' I asked / begged.

He looked me in the eye and said, 'Son, how will it feel to know that when everyone else is finding a reason why not to do something, you found a reason why?'  We knuckled down and finished the job in a few days. Christmas eve was spent tidying the yard before a couple of beers and an early finish.

The challenge was that wisdom was wasted on me aged 17 but it has stayed with me and served me well in the years since.

Yesterday I heard someone say, 'It's too late now, we'll do it in January'. It wasn't a big job, or a major new initiative. It was just another opportunity to procrastinate.  And as the Christmas music plays earlier and the decorations go up sooner so does the opportunity to put things off 'til next year.

So what are you going to achieve (much better than do) in the last 22 days of 2011?  You'll be amazed at what you can accomplish in that time IF you start now!

I've written two pieces for MyFamilyClub.co.uk this month.  You can read them here:

1)Time Makeover With The Boss click here
2) Making Every Second Count click here

Amazon have done it again. I can buy my own books cheaper(ish) from Amazon.co.uk than I can from my publisher.

I'm going to buy some and you should too! Here are the two super deals in question:

1) How to Brilliant (3rd Edition). If you haven't read it yet then bag yourself a copy while it's almost half price. Click here.

2) How To Save An Hour Every Day. This one has 44% off so as well as saving time you can easily save some money. Click here.

You could of course buy both items from my website but you'd be crazy to do so while Amazon's price is so low.

PS One more thing.  I've decided to update my YouTube channel and post a couple of videos to get you started. Let me know what you think in the comments. Click here to visit my channel!
