Every four years an extra day is added to our calendar to make sure we don't spin into another universe (or something like that). I accept it's done for a reason but can't entirely explain. So aside from the novelty of an extra 24 hours, this extra day offers you a brilliant opportunity. You've been given an extra bonus day that otherwise you wouldn't have. Fab eh? Cynics may point to it just being another day in another week. Yawn. I think this bonus day needs to be used to do something special. Not necessarily today but just imagine that you have these extra 24 hours as a gift. They're saved up ready to use any time you wish. You can use them all at once or in bits later - just do something different from your norm. Here are some questions to get you thinking: What needs sorting out? Where do you want to go? Who could you help? What have you been putting off? And here are a few ideas to get you started: Visit that friend or relative you've been meaning to see Have an awesome day trip Visit somewhere local that people travel to see Start writing that book Tidy out the garage (not the most inspirational I know but you'll feel good afterwards) Help out a worthy cause Start training and get fitter What will you do with your 'leap' day? Post your answers on our Facebook page (www.facebook.com/michaelheppellofficial) and we'll give a prize to the best one. It only comes around once every 4 years - like the Olympic Games or a World Cup so make the most it. Be Brilliant! Michael P.S. You can tweet this from our website here |
