I've broken one of my own rules

Published: Tue, 01/22/13

Sorry, I've been a numpty and broken one of my own golden rules. This one:

If you are going to ask someone for something then make sure you've got something great to give them in return.

I did it in my newsletter last week announcing my 2013 Kick Off Webinar. I asked you to register for the Webinar then spend 45 minutes on Thursday evening in front of your computer. But stupidly I only hinted at what you would get in return. My mistake.

So I'll have another go, but this time I'd better be very clear about what you'll get in return for your time investment.

First of all the Webinar is free. No catches, just me sharing stuff. I've done this in January every year for the past ten. It makes me think about where I am, what I've learned and it gives you lots of content. But I am asking for something; your time and your time is precious.

I knew there was something a
miss when yesterday I checked the number of people who had registered and, although there were several hundred, I was still a few hundred away from my target of 1,000. When this happened I picked up the phone and asked some of the people who hadn't registered a simple question, 'Why?'

The answer was clear. 'I don't know what I'm going to get'. I re-read my announcement newsletter from last week and it hit me. I'd hinted - yes back to only hinted - at a couple of ideas I would share. And a 'hint' just isn't good enough.

So if you haven't registered for 2013 Kick Off yet then here's exactly why you should and if you have, here's what you'll get:

During a free 45 Minute Webinar I will:

1) Show you how to have your best year ever in 2013. Please don't leave this to chance.

2) Give you a brilliant method to significantly reduce the negative stuff in your life. And a better way to increase the positive.

3) Teach you 3 brilliant ways to deal with pressure.

4) Share with you something I've been teaching for 15 years which is wrong (I'd like to keep the content of this a secret until the Webinar)

5) Offer you a fab way to remove distractions so you stay focused.

6) Explain why you could be a 'Thought Hoarder' and the dangers of being one.

7) Tell you a great story to help you appreciate what's really important in life.

8) Answer as many questions as I can relating to the live issues faced by subscribers to my site. Including: a person who is anxious about their working future, someone who wants to stay focused and some advice for a budding rock star in their forties! You can send me yours too.

Plus I'm writing ideas all the time so the chances are the list will grow, evolve and change in the next couple of days.

There are 300 places left. To register just open your email programme, write 2013 Kick Off in the subject box and paste events@michaelheppell.com in the 'To: panel'. Then hit send.

Our team will make sure you are sent the details for the Webinar and (if you're quick) you'll be guaranteed a place.

Apologies for not getting the message spot on last week, normal service will resume, etc...

Be Brilliant!

Michael
