How to get remembered, rewarded and referred

A good part of my life is spent sitting in staff and management conferences waiting to go on stage to do my thing.

I'm one of those people who like to get there early, so even if I'm last on I'll usually be there in the morning.

I'm watching what the other presenters have to say, taking notes and seeing where I can weave in their messages with mine.

Sometimes that's fun but often...

[PAUSE: Imagine me now writing this newsletter wracking my mind for a polite way to finish the above sentence. Let's go with:]

...it could be more interesting.

Here's the thing.

90% of people who present to groups, large (conferences) or small (interviews and appraisals) are terrible.

Sorry, but you knew that.

However, every cloud has a silver lining! This means that 10% are great!

In fact the 10% who do well look even better amongst the others. Diamonds in the rough?

So far I haven't told you anything you don't already know but I'm hoping you're nodding with a wry smile on your face.

The frustration for me is that most people make the same five mistakes over and over again. If only they knew!

So I've created a special report for people who have to present to groups - large or small - called; '5 Rules To Use For Every Presentation And What It Costs YOU If You Don't'.

It's free and you can get it here.

And here's the other thing. I'm a terrible eavesdropper. Actually that's not true - I'm a brilliant eavesdropper! I love to listen in to what delegates are saying at the breaks.

WITHOUT EXCEPTION those who spoke well are praised, liked and most importantly, remembered.

And it has nothing to with job title or department. I've been in raptures listening to Accountants and wanting to pull my ears off listening to Marketing Managers.

Great is great and dull is dull.

So if you have to speak, whether it's to present a plan to your team or an annual report to The City, get a copy of my '5 Rules' download now.

Happy Presenting!

Be Brilliant!

PS If I was at your conference and speaking after you, then you'll be delighted to know you're in the 10%. It was your colleagues who let the side down so feel free to forward this newsletter to them :-)
