I don’t want to send you too many emails, but I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to celebrate World Kindness Day. I know, there’s a day for everything, and I know there’s an argument that every day should be Kindness Day. But in
1998 some clever people decided that the 13th November would be World Kindness Day. And why not? I think this one’s special. Yesterday I had a catch up cuppa with one of my heroes, and undoubtedly one of the kindest people I’ve ever met; Captain Denny Flanagan. If you’ve read my book Five Star Service, or experienced my customer service keynote, you’ll have heard me talk
about the legendary Captain Denny and his amazing customer service ethic. But that’s just the start. He’s remarkable at work but he’s also inspiring in other areas of his life too. Captain Denny and his wife and family take in and care for unwanted and distressed animals at their Ohio ranch. Dozens of them! They live incredibly busy lives, and always make room for surprise guests. At Halloween they had 30 kids to stay who didn’t have anywhere else to
go. Yes, we can all be a little kinder. And here’s the best bit about kindness - it’s generally free. I’d love it if everyone who reads this mail does just one extra kind thing for someone today to celebrate World Kindness Day. You can do more tomorrow too! Could you please share what you’ve done on my Facebook page?

possible'. Tenzin Gyatso, 14th Dalai Lama |
