When Reinhold Messner became the first person to climb Mount Everest solo, he was lauded as being a phenomenal mountaineer.

 

And a nutter. 

 

But did he really climb Everest solo?

 

The fact is, he had a team. Brilliant people around him (around 30) who helped with everything from ensuring he had the right oxygen mix, to watching the weather and planning routes.

 

It's the same with writing. You don't have to do it on your own.
