I’m normally pretty good at sending out information. But that’s down to my secret weapon – Vanessa. Which is why I’ve made two silly errors in two emails. You may have guessed Vanesa has been having a well deserved break.

17 The Book - 'Run-On' Copies
You probably know that last September, I published my first new book for six years - ‘17’. It's why we have TEAM17!

I decided to print, sign and number 1,000 hardback copies.  

That was a mistake. It sold out in three days and I probably should have gone for 5,000. Lesson learned.  

Did you know that printers will only guarantee the number of books delivered within 5%?  

They do this because should there be a problem with the print-run they're always covered. 

That meant we had to order more than 1,000 copies of 17 just in case it was 5% less. 

The good news was the print run wasn’t short, so we happily sent out our 1,000 copies to the first thousand people who ordered. 

But it meant that I had a ‘run-on’. 

Over the past few months, I’ve given a few books to new friends but now it's time to clear the last few copies. 

As a member of TEAM17, I thought I would give you an opportunity to grab a copy first before I put it out to my whole database. 

They will be signed (not numbered) and are exclusively available on a first-come, first-served basis. I can promise you there will be no more copies once these have gone.  If you’d like a copy personalised for yourself or a friend I’m very happy to do this - email me.
