Hi
When you open the box and take out the first copy.
It’s
not just the look and the feel of your book that’s intoxicating… it’s the smell.
A box
of newly printed books smells amazing.
Especially when they’re yours.
I know
new authors who have kissed their first copy (I did!).
But you don’t get to smell your book… until you’ve published a book.
And you don’t get to publish a book until you’ve written one.
And you don’t get to write one unless you find the time.
I’m a big fan of multi-sensory goal setting.
The
idea of not just visualising, but hearing, feeling and sensing yourself achieving the goal.
And
that includes smell. Mmmmmm.
However, the brutal reality is thousands of writers won’t get their idea from brain to screen never mind into a printed book.
I've
two ideas that help.
A goal
is just a dream without a date on it.
Ask
yourself; when is the exact date when your book will be published?
The
more specific the better. Go for it schedule the date. Do it now.
Next,
make yourself accountable.
Share
with others your book publication day.
The
moment you post this on your Facebook page, your blog, Instagram feed, etc you're much more likely to achieve it.
I'm
passionate about this as make it happen motivator.
Do it,
do it now.
I'm
going to email you again tomorrow with some more thoughts to help.
Be
Brilliant!
