Hi
This is
my third email in this series sharing with you the key differences between those with desires and those who are are published authors.
On Monday I emailed you the importance of setting goals and the incredible emotive smell of your newly printed book.
Yesterday I talked about taking massive action.
Today I want to talk about pain and especially pain avoidance.
Regret is a horrible word
I don’t
know about you, but I don't want to leave this world with regrets.
Setting the goal is the easy part. Achieving the goal is tough. Those who don't achieve their goals through quitting end up with regret.
But
have you noticed how they justify this with excuses?
‘I was too busy.’
‘I wanted to make sure my idea was fully formed before I started to write.’
‘It looks like someone else is writing about…’
This is because making excuses is easier than writing the book.
I
believe YOU can achieve most things you put your mind to, especially writing your book.
One of
my favourite interviews in Write That Book Masterclass is with book marketing expert Mike Alden.
There's a brilliant quote from Mike that sums up the difference between those who talk a good game and those who do something about it.
He says more in a motivational 11 seconds about eliminating excuses than I ever could.
If you want to watch the clip of Mike sharing these words of wisdom (it is brilliant and it literally lasts for 11 seconds) you can watch it here.
