Nobody has the time to post ten Tweets, create five Facebook posts, write a mini blog, present a live video, interact with 20 people a day and write their book!
That's
why creating a Mothership of Content is a must.
It's a
trick that marketeers have been using for ages.
Start
with your big idea. This could be a blog or mini story, a campaign… anything really.
Then
break it down into four or five smaller messages.
If you've created one strong image for Instagram or Pinterest, ask how that same image could be reworked and used five more times.
If
you've written 500 words, could you produce 5 x 25 word tweets from the knowledge you’re sharing?
Maybe
use some of the content you've already written and share it as replies to other people’s posts?
Using a
‘Mothership of Content’ allows you to take one message and re-use it in multiple ways.
Is it
worth it?
Here
are the numbers.
Create a Mothership long form post (blog, newsletter)
Remaster the one big message as five shorter
posts
Make 5 images with super short (headline) copy from the big message
Cut ‘n’ paste 25 replies to other peoples posts
Bingo!
You’ve created 36 interactions from just one idea.
