I'm often asked, 'Why 17?'

Yes, it's a quirky (and brilliant) number... but the truth behind my favourite digits started in 1993. 

I was a fundraiser and was in New York meeting a super successful potential donor.

On the way into my meeting, I was told by his assistant I had 17 minutes.

17 minutes to impress, win them over and get the donation.

It was a big ask.

17 has stuck with me ever since.
