That was an emotional Christmas Party! 😭

I'm not normally lost for words, but I'm struggling to describe how much joy I've felt leading TEAM17 over the last 4 years.

It has been wonderful getting to know you, share my thinking and support you. We've built a remarkable community.

Please stay together, learn together and laugh together.

This is not goodbye from me. I'll see you in the TEAM17 Facebook group on DAY17's (as a participant) and hopefully at future events.

And of course, you'll always be my favourites.

Death Café

Donald McCorkindale and Fi Setch have been brilliant at hosting this safe space to talk this difficult topic. But even more importantly it's been a positive place to open up about your feelings, help you to be more prepared and ensure you live your best life!

This last session tomorrow, is called A Blue Christmas.

The holiday season often brings joy and celebration, but for some, it can be a period of profound sadness and reflection. Experiencing the first Christmas without a loved one or facing the New Year with memories of loss can be particularly challenging. Whether you are navigating these emotions or supporting others, you are invited you to join the Death Café to talk about life and loss, death and dying, and to take time to remember those we have loved and lost.

A new beginning in 2025

The Shapers are going to continue to make TEAM17 a bustling community, but they need your support to make it thrive and grow.

They plan to keep DAY17 running each month, so please add the dates to your diary. Mon - Thur, 7pm start, Fri, Sat, Sun, 6pm start.

Each of the eight shapers have been allocated 19/20 TEAM17 members to help them when they host their months in 2025.

Your shaper will be in touch to welcome you to their team.

As long as there are volunteers stepping forward, 18:17 will be active every Wednesday. The plan is that each month, a shaper will lead the month, and TEAM17 members will be able to be involved.

A lot of the reminders and communication will be via the TEAM17 Facebook Group, only to ensure it's consistently in one place.

The Zoom details will change. All DAY17 meetings will now be hosted via Fiona Setch's personal Zoom room. The info is below.

All dates are full for 2024 and January 2025. Yay!
